New Vice Chairman, 2009 Schedule Released, and Great Winter Meeting!
Thanks to everyone for a great meeting in Vegas yesterday. 13 teams participated, and I think we had a really good, productive meeting. I'm excited about the upcoming year, the teams we have right now, and the group of captains we have running them. Amanda will send the minutes out soon, but here's a quick summary:
Congratulations to Jeff Rush for becoming your new chairman, Brian Detrick and Colin Gibbs for taking on Northwest and Pacific Conference Chairs, and Shannon Clark for becoming treasurer. I will stay on as the National Director. Also a big thank you to Amanda Willson and Darren Hall for their work over the past year.
We have 10 tournaments scheduled for 2009. We will get those up on the website.
Nina will get the yahoo group updated so everyone who was there yesterday gets onto it. I edited the contact list and added everybody in attendance yesterday, please look at it and let me know of any changes.
Please send me your fundraising ideas and what has worked well for you. We are sending them on to our new teams.
I hope everyone had a good time and a safe trip home. I enjoyed meeting the new captains and look forward to working with you all helping you guys out this year. Thanks again for makign the meeting a success, volunteering to serve on various committees and help out, and taking a strong interest in continuing to improve and grow the Western Region. Please let myself, Jeff, Brian or Colin know if there is ever anything we can do to help you out. See you in the spring.
